Distilleries
Estes Park distilleries.
Colorado-grain whiskey, small-batch moonshine, and spirits distilled at 7,522 feet, most of them within a short drive of each other. Taste your way through town, then carry a bottle up to the ridge.

The Distilleries
Small batch, high altitude.
The scene runs from downtown Elkhorn Avenue out along Moraine Avenue toward the national park, so you can string a few together. Tastings and hours vary by season, so check each one before you go.

The Basecamp
A nightcap by the fire.
There is a reason a whiskey tastes better up here. The lodge sits ten minutes above downtown on a private ridge, with a wood-burning fireplace, a loft library, and a deck under a sky full of stars. Pour one, and stay a while.
